You'll be hard pressed to find recreational lodging with better access to Ozark Outdoor
Adventure! Lodge yourself and stable your horse at our cabin. Ride or hike on miles of
trails which start right at the cabin. Fish for smallmouth and four species of trout in
the world class White River two miles away. The Ozark Highlands hiking trail is 8 miles
away. Or drive 15 minutes to Norfork Lake for watersports and more fishing. Golf, dining,
shopping, and several area attractions are within a 35 minute drive. If its Ozarks
adventure you seek, you can do it from here with easy, fast access. That's why we call it
Unlimited Sportsman's Cabin.
Great For Honeymoons To Hunting
A broad range of people enjoy Unlimited Sportsman's Cabin. Everyone from
honeymooners to hunters enjoy its forest setting. Honeymooners walk along our quiet
country road enjoying wildflowers, birding, and wildlife watching, and listening to the
large creek with its ledge rock riffles. Hunters enjoy going deep into the forest on foot
or horseback. Fishermen enjoy having great trout and smallmouth bass fishing so close by.
Children enjoy playing with a long list of fascinating objects from rocks to the little
lizards laying in the sun, and hunting for salamanders in the creek. Executives enjoy the
quiet and privacy so far removed from the office phone. During spring and summer you'll
hear song birds by day, and whippoorwills and owls at night.
Cabin Living Room
The Cabin
Unlimited Sportsman's Cabin is a clean 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin that
comfortably sleeps 6 adults and a max of 8. The cabin has electric heat, a/c and a washer
and dryer. The living room has satellite TV, DVD player, sofa sleeper and a reclining love
seat. We furnish bath towels and bed linens. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator,
electric range with oven. Also included, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and all the
cookware you will need. The bunk room has one bunk bed and a single futon sleeper. The
bedroom off the kitchen has a full size cedar bed. The Bear's Den, which
is the master bedroom, has a queen size cedar bed, ceiling fan, and its own private full
bathroom. We have also added a mini fridge for your convenience.

The main covered deck overlooks
the fire pit and horse corral. It has a propane BBQ grill, picnic table, and ceiling fan.
There is easy access to the master bedroom (the Bear's Den) from the main
deck. The front porch overlooks the front yard where many guest enjoy swinging in the
porch swing. Campfire wood and propane for the grill is free of charge. There is also an
ice machine on site for coolers.
Thank you for not smoking inside the cabin. You may smoke on
the porch where ash buckets are provided.

Stables &
Riding
While we do not offer horseback riding, you are welcome to bring your own horses and
mules. (Current Coggins required.) Our corral has water, four outside stalls and two
stalls in the covered shed, and a tack room. There is room to park your livestock trailer
two hundred feet from the corral. When you are ready for a day's ride, just saddle up and
head out for any of several trails leading through the National Forest. No need to trailer
your animals to trail heads.

Spring House
The Spring House is made for dressing and preparing your game and fish. The
double stainless sinks with running water makes it really easy to clean your limit of
trout.
River and Lake Fishing
There are no closed fishing seasons in Arkansas, so you can fish any day of the
year. The cabin is two miles from the uncrowded Cartney Public Access to the White River.
Rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and some brook trout are the sportfish found in the White
River. Several world line class record trout have been caught in these waters. Trophy
trout of four pounds or more are caught on a regular basis, and a day's catch of 20 to 60
rainbow trout 12 to 18 inches long are common. The world's second largest brown trout ever
caught on tackle was taken a few miles away in the North Fork river where there is also
abundant brook trout.You can bank fish, or fish from a boat.
Because the White and North Fork rivers are tailwater
fisheries, you can also wade fish, but only during periods of low water. If smallmouth
bass are your preferred sportfish, the Buffalo National River holds strong populations of
large smallmouth, and you can also fish for smallmouth in this section of the White River.
The Buffalo is 15 minutes away by boat from the White. Jon Boat rentals are
available right at the cabin, or bring your own. Call us for details. We have room to park
your trailer.
Norfork Lake, which is 15 miles away, offers year around
fishing for striped bass, crappie, largemouth, smallmouth, catfish, panfish, white bass,
and walleye. You can rent boats at lake marinas like or bring your own. If you prefer to
fish with a local professional guide, we can arrange guided trips for you on lake or
river.

Hunting
Black bear, whitetail deer, wild turkey, and squirrel are the primary game here.
Arkansas has modern rifle, archery, and muzzleloading seasons. Whether on horseback,
driving, on foot, or on ATV, you'll find many places to hunt in the surrounding 136,000
acres of U.S. Forest Service land in the Sylamore District of the Ozark National Forest.

Eco Attractions
Whether you want a simple drive-up spot to watch wildlife, or really want true
Wilderness, its here. Wildflower walks, birding, and day hikes are all close by. Of the
136,000 acres of public lands near our cabin, 16,956 are in the Leatherwood Wilderness
Area, and another 22,044 are in the Lower Buffalo Wilderness for a total of 39,000 acres
of U.S. Government owned contiguous Wilderness area. Only horseback and foot access are
allowed in the Wilderness areas. Old logging roads and unmarked trails wind all through
these lands. Some of the most impressive Karst geology of the Ozarks can be found in the
Cliffty Canyon Special Interest Botanical Area, which also is inhabited by some 120
species of wildflowers. Cliffty Canyon is in Forest Service lands so you can drive to it
in a four wheel drive vehicle. Clear Ozark spring fed creeks can be found in the bottoms
of several other canyons.
The Ozark Highlands hiking trail winds for 23 miles through
our area with three trail heads on the highway a few miles away. The Sylamo Mountain Bike
Trails, some 30 miles of stacked loop treks through the Ozark terrain far from buildings,
are about 30 minutes away.
Civil Attractions
When you want to come in out of the hills and go to town, its a scenic 35
minute drive to Mountain View, Arkansas. This small town has been a delight to tourists
for many years. Mountain View is known for its live Blue Grass music, top quality art,
antique, and craft shopping, and some good restaurants. The Ozark Folk Center, also
nearby, has 20-plus live demonstrations of Ozark pioneer skills, plus a gift shop,
restaurant, and a live music show theater. Blanchard Springs Caverns is an underground
wonder, but also has swimming and fishing. If watersports are what you want, Norfork Lake
is 15 miles away. Water skiing, tubing, scuba, and just plain cruising the lake are all
possible if you rent a boat from a local marina, or bring your own. Mountain Home,
Arkansas is about 25 minutes away and also offers shopping, dining, golf, and attractions.
Directions
Whether coming from the north or south you'll need to travel on Highway 341 (aka
Push Mountain Road). We will give you directions to Cross Roads Store, which is at the
intersection of Highway 341 and CR 72 in Baxter County, Arkansas. ("CR" stands
for County Road in Baxter County.) Look for our sign at the intersection of 341 and CR 72.
At the store turn onto CR 72, a gravel road, and go 6 tenths of a mile to an intersection.
Go straight, don't turn left. You will now be on CR 114. Go 3/4 mile and you will see
Unlimited Sportsman's Cabin on your left.

3 night minimum on all holiday weekends which include deer and spring turkey season.$125.00 - Bear's Den 3 bedroom 2 full bath with washer and dryer
$100.00 - We close off the Bear's Den to turn the
cabin into a 2 bedroom 1 bath. This is the only cabin on the property.
$10 per night per extra guest
$10 per night per horse or mule
All prices are subject to a 9% local tax
Children 12 and under stay free, maximum two. Three or more children
will be charged the extra guest rate each.
Specials:
Stay 6 nights get the 7th night free.
Stay 4 nights, Sunday through Wednesday, 10% discount.
Reservation Policies
We require a $200.00 deposit to confirm your reservation. Remaining balances are
due on, or before the day of departures. A valid ATM card, credit card or check for the
deposit amount is required at time of booking.
Check in time is 2pm, check out time is 11am unless otherwise
previously arranged. We rent by the night with a 2 night minimum, or by the week most of
the year. Reservations made within 21 days of arrival are charged in full and are subject
to the re-booking option below. We require a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Cabin renter must be at least 18 years of age. There will be a $50 charge for
non-sufficient fund checks.
Cancellations or changes sent by email are not accepted and
will result in a full charge of your reservation. Please phone us if you need to cancel or
change your reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 21 days prior to your arrival
date. Any refunds will be minus our handling fee of $50. No refunds will be made for early
departures or inclement weather.
Cancellations made after 21 days will result in the full
charge of all accommodations reserved. You can re-book your stay with the same amount of
nights if we receive your selected new dates within 30 days from your original arrival
date, without any loss, and subject to availability. We do not accept holiday weekends for
re-booking. Prices are subject to change without notice. Any price increase difference
from your original reservation will be due at re-booking. |
