Why it's so hard for trout to
get over the falls
Females swollen with eggs sometimes have
a hard time with the extra weight. They quickly sense when they have lost the right body
position and will twist and wiggle around trying to get correct position back, but they
rarely do. This one got high enough, and far enough, but she hit on her side and was
quickly washed back down.
